Surroundings

Pembrokeshire is traditionally described as "the land of magic and enchantment" which perfectly captures the qualities of its outstanding coastline. From Tenby in the south to Cardigan in the north, all the 186 mile shoreline falls within the Pembrokeshire National Park. It's an extraordinary beautiful place, with everything from towering cliffs to sheltered harbours; huge beaches to wooded creeks. It's also a haven for wildlife. Seals swim in its clear waters; wildflowers grow on the cliffs and seabirds nest in huge numbers on the coast and on the island nature reserves. Pembrokeshire's stunning coastal beauty extends inland to the Preseli Hills, on open expanse of highland scattered with mysterious prehistoric sites.

Away from the coast you'll discover a host of places to visit. There are heritage sites such as St. Davids Cathedral and Pembroke Castle, the bustling traditional resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot and a wealth of exciting attractions and activities - Oakwood Adventure Park, Folly Farm, and Hetherton's Sports to name just a few. Haverfordwest Golf club is within easy reach and there are other courses at Milford Haven, and St. Davids. The County town of Haverfordwest - just fifteen minutes by car - offers excellent shopping, a cinema and swimming pool.
